Today's card is "Waiting." Not that waiting is bad. It's that you can live for years in "any-moment-now" mode — any moment now it'll get easier, any moment now the money will show up, any moment now someone will finally hear me — and one day realize that "any moment now" quietly ate your whole life. I remember waiting for months myself for some sign that I could finally start the book — waiting for the right mood, the right silence, the right moment, as if someone was supposed to walk in and say "now." Nobody walked in. I just sat down and started writing on the most inconvenient evening imaginable — tired, uninspired, angry at myself for stalling yet another month.
Here's the honest part: waiting isn't a pause before life, it's a way to hide from it without admitting that to yourself. Waiting is more comfortable than risking. Waiting is safer than hearing "no." As long as you're waiting, you don't have to decide anything, don't have to be wrong, don't have to be imperfect in front of anyone. Your soul doesn't argue or shout during this — it just gets a little quieter every year, until one day it's nearly silent, and you forget you ever wanted anything at all. That's scarier than any failure.
What you can do today: name the one thing you keep putting off with "it's not the right time yet" — and take its first small step right now, without waiting for the mood, the sign, or perfect conditions. Call. Write. Open the file. One step, not the whole road. Life only starts answering back once you stop waiting for its answer in advance.
"Life isn't waiting for you around the corner of waiting. It's already here — take the step."
