The Tower is the structure a person built to hide inside and protect their ego, but the accumulated energy of ignorance, pride, and inflated ambition sooner or later bursts out and shatters that fortress. The blow that feels like a catastrophe is actually a liberation: material, intellectual, or spiritual upheaval cannot destroy a person's true nature — only their illusions about themselves. This card is about the painful but necessary collapse of false constructions — sometimes, to build something real, you first have to let the old crumble all the way down to its foundation.
