What they are and how to use them
Metaphoric associative cards (MAC) carry images with no single "correct" reading. Their meaning is born the moment you look at the card and notice what actually caught your attention. The card is just a prompt — your own psyche does the work.
Nikola Blajen's cards sit right at that intersection: each has original art and a full written reflection, but you can just as well read them purely as metaphoric cards — your own reaction first, the text as a second layer after.
Ask your question. Draw a card without choosing. For the first 20-30 seconds just look: what's happening in it, what do you feel, where does your eye land. Say it out loud or write it down. Only then read the meaning — as a comment on what you already saw for yourself.
In tarot, card meanings are fixed by tradition, and reading them is largely about knowing the system. MAC has minimal system — your response here and now matters more. These cards lean toward MAC: the text helps, it doesn't dictate.
