People often ask me how to know it's time to start climbing out of rock bottom. Honestly — you won't know. It just gets a little easier to breathe than it did yesterday. Rock bottom isn't a pit with clean edges you can push off from. It's a state where you first stop fighting the fact that you're there. And strangely, that's exactly where the climb begins — not because you became stronger, but because you stopped spending your strength on denial. After that, it's one breath at a time. Not one day — that's too much. One honest breath: notice you're alive, find one small step you can actually take, and take only that one.
I've been through this myself more than once. And I know help doesn't always have to be loud. Sometimes it's enough for someone nearby to simply say, "I hear you" — no ready-made prescriptions. If things are hard for you right now — you are not alone. 🙏
